The Workers
backFrom the manager
The Workers Balmain is the best kind of history lesson. A booze-filled history lesson with a side of Mexican food, featuring a beer-sculling former Prime Minister. Can you tell where this is going? Well, you should. And if you don’t - head to the Workers and fill your brain (and pie-hole).
The Workers pays homage to the area’s proud Labor roots - the first Labor Electorate League formed, don’tcha know - with big, big, big portraits of heroes Bob Hawke, Gough Whitlam and others lining the walls of the bar. Murals, photos, it’s all here. It’s not all history and politics though (to the relieved sigh of many) - there’s a yak on the wall, fluro signs, ping pong, and a cheery rooftop garden. And of course, the aforementioned booze and food. Of which there is copious amounts, of delicious varieties.
The Workers caters for functions & events of varying sizes. The whole venue is available for exclusive use early in the week & can hold up to 500 guests, or the private function rooms can be booked out any night of the week.
Food & beverage packages are available or custom menus can be designed in consultation with the client.
