The Harvey Lowe Pavilion was opened on 20th December 1957 by Councillor Harvey Lowe, OBE.
A Councillor of the Shire for forty years, between 1937 and 1977, he served four terms as Shire President between 1952 and 1956. He received the Order of the British Empire in 1968 for dedicated service to local government.
He was a great believer in truth and trust of his fellow man and represented the residents of the shire in a true spirit of community service and remains and inspiration to all.
