Pawn & Co gets instant points for the sheer bizarro nature of its premise. Part absinthe-loving speakeasy, part pawn shop, it’s Melbourne’s first bar in which patrons are able to down amazing cocktails and buy pawn goods all at the same time.

From the plates to the stools to the knick-knacks on the wall, everything’s for sale. You can even buy the revolving door that seperates the 'pawn shop' from the beer-baron bar hidden behind it. Don’t be put off by Pawn & Co’s slightly off-kilter premise however. The cocktails are great, it’s open until 7am, and the Prohibition-era vibe is very, very cool.

Pawn & Co is located along the trendy wonderland that is Chapel Street, just near the corner of Commercial Road. This is a great venue for casual drink early, a dance later on, birthday's, functions and big nights out.
